Accessibility Statement
Last updated September 14, 2026
Prairie Labs wants everyone to be able to use the Prairie Labs website, including people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we have done
- Text and interactive elements are checked for colour contrast against the backgrounds they actually sit on, to at least the WCAG AA ratios.
- The site is built on semantic HTML with landmarks, headings in order, and named navigation, so it can be navigated by screen reader and keyboard.
- Menus and expandable panels are real buttons that announce whether they are open, and menus close with the Escape key.
- Decorative animation is paused until it is on screen, and switched off entirely when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Where information is shown as moving or decorative graphics, the same information is also provided as plain text for assistive technology.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; purely decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Known limitations
- The scrolling rows of tasks at the bottom of the home page pause when you hover over them, but cannot yet be paused from the keyboard. Setting your device to reduce motion stops them.
